We are beginning the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It will be amazing at times. Our tip toes have barely touched the water and look! Self-driving cars, reusable rockets to the moon and a BIG spaceship to bring not only technicians but tourists to Mars. You had better get your ticket now, it is only $200,000 and will only go up the closer the launch date gets.
Lodestar is an earlier name for the North Star or Polaris we also call it. It has helped journeymen for centuries find their way into the unknown. That is what we will be doing looking for new paths into Health, Medicine and Veteran’s Healthcare. Why mix the VA in with the others? Good question and I have a good answer. I am a veteran and under the care of the Veteran’s Healthcare. It will be a unique blog, experiencing exactly what I’m writing about.
An example of the Veteran’s Administration’s plans for Healthcare is the VA facilities are shifting from a healthcare system focused primarily on treating the disease to one rooted in forming healing relationships and partnerships that support veterans in achieving their greatest possible well-being. The result is a whole health approach.
That sounds like a lot of words but I will be able to witness first hand how it is working. I have been in the care of the VA since August 2017 and I am impressed. The people are first class in person and on the phone or email. I have been seen at the VA Clinic in Superior WI. Next week I will have a first-hand look at the VA Hospital in St Paul MN. This should be an interesting project.
Now, regarding the Health and Medicine for our civilians friends. I get at least emails a day, just from one clearinghouse. I also get two more different emails weekly. Each of these last two emails has two to six sections.
I just printed two articles from one newsletter. The topics: Why a drug for aging would challenge Washington. In addition to spinning the dream of longer, better lives, it digs into why Washington causes all the good things to become mired down in red tape.
The next article is titled: Take two robots by mouth. It discusses new methods of delivery that will definitely stretch the definition of ‘drug’.
Obviously, I can’t type the blog at this minute, I have some research to do first. But rest assured a blog is coming shortly.
I think I can promise some interesting reading in the coming year. Hang on! Hold tight! Put your thinking cap on!
I think I can guarantee an interesting ride!
